Kendrick Lamar has a lot to celebrate this calendar week with his tour selling out and his album DAMN being certified double platinum.

The album has the biggest debut week and then far this year outside of JAY-Z'southward 4:44 which was certified platinum within the first week. DAMN sold 605,000 copies in the beginning week and debut at number one on the Billboard 200 chart. Kendrick Lamar posted a photo of his double platinum plaque on Instagram that he got from the Tape Manufacture Association of America, RIAA.

"These murals forever vest to my fans," Kung Fu Kenny wrote. "You've always taken my words in a higher place and beyond. Around the globe and dorsum again. With trust. I am forever grateful. 2x." Fourteen weeks later the album release, DAMN is still doing well on the Billboard 200 chart with 56,000 copies sold in the terminal week. That is more than a lot of artists kickoff week sales. The album sits at number two on the chart behind JAY-Z's landmark album.

Kendrick Lamar is currently touring N America for his "The DAMN Tour" and he is getting some back up from his rap peers including Gamble the Rapper and J. Cole who made guest appearances at his shows in Chicago and Detroit this week respectively.
